A PAIR of squash siblings have come close to securing an impressive treble.
Jamie Pearman, 13, took part in both under-15 and under-17 categories at the Newcastle Northern Junior Squash event.
In the younger age group, he reached the final before losing out 3-1, while he took bronze in the under-17 event, having played nine matches over the two competitions.
Older brother Dylan was among those competing in the under-19 event.
The 17-year-old proved too strong for his opponent and came through 3-0 in the final.
This weekend, Phoebe Hamilton is representing Scotland in the Five Nations Squash event at Edinburgh Sports Club in the under-13 age group.
Hamilton, the current Scotland under-13 champion, will be taking part for the first time at international level.
Finally, Friday afternoon coaching continues at Tyne District Squash and Racketball Club in Haddington, taking place from 1.30pm to 4pm.
All are welcome to attend and protective glasses and rackets will be provided – non-marking indoor shoes are required.
