SEVEN-TIME world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan stands in Ross Muir’s way in the Welsh Open.

The Musselburgh snooker star is currently in action against arguably the sport’s greatest player in Llandudno.

O’Sullivan secured his place in the first round with a 4-0 triumph over Oliver Lines.

Twenty-seven-year-old Muir and O’Sullivan have faced each three times over the last 10 years.

O’Sullivan won 4-0 in October 2013 before winning 4-1 the following month.

The most recent meeting was in 2018 when O’Sullivan won 6-2 in the China Open qualifiers.
