East Fortune race circuit, will play host to two rounds of the Scottish Motorcycle Championship, and two Club Championship rounds, this weekend.

There is a very strong entry at the Melville Motor Club event, with racers from all over Scotland, the North East of England and Northern Ireland.

The sidecar grid will include a 10-times Isle of Man TT race winner

County riders to look out for include Paul McClung, Colvin Denholm. Andy Dunnett, Allister Blair, as well as Graham Patterson and Frankie Dignan.

Haddington' ace McClung will be hoping to extend his commanding lead in the Scottish Lightweights' class, where he holds an 85-point advantage over Gillian McGaw.

John Dean will also be hoping to gain a large number of points in the Scottish Superbike class, although making it easier for him will be the absence of second-placed Andrew Tasker due his recent crash.

Torquil Paterson (Perth), is 20 points adrift of Ewan Gray in the Superstock 600 class, and will hope a strong meet can reduce the gap to the championship leader, as will his young son Lewis, who is in the Lightweights' class.

Amongst the classes are Superbikes, Superstock 600, Formula Melville, Scottish Lightweights, Classics, Pre-Injection, Formula 125 and Sidecars.

Race commentary will be provided by resident experts Ian Robertson and ex-sidecar racer Ian 'Mose' Hutchison.

Bikes will be on the circuit for practice and qualifying from 9am on both days.

Admission is £10 for adults and is free for senior citizens and accompanied under-16s, and the paddock is open for everyone.
