DUNBAR martial arts ace Brad Robertson celebrated double success at the ITF World Tae Kwon Do Championships in Brighton.
Robertson, 21, won the world title in hyper-weight sparring (82kg+), before joining forces with the Team UK squad, where the county ace won a second gold medal, for sparring.
He completed his impressive championships with a silver for patterns.
The delighted county star, a former Dunbar Grammar School pupil, told Courier Sport he was delighted with his medal haul, particularly after overcoming a shoulder injury two months out the competition.
He told Courier Sport: "This was the first time I have competed internationally in hyper-weight sparring, so I was extremely nervous.
"I suffered a shoulder injury eight weeks before the championships and had to alter my training plan, and because of the intense training I was doing I weighed in at 84kg, about 20kg lighter than the average competitor."
Robertson, who runs Robertsons Martial Arts & Fitness in Dunbar, saw off two Argentinean fighters after winning his opening bout against an opponent from Kyrgyzstan, to win the hyper-weight world title in Brighton.
He said: "There were no easy fights in this group so was absolutely delighted to win the world title.
"I was met with a standing ovation from the whole of Team UK when leaving the arena.
"It was such a buzz to have such a fantastic group of spectators behind you which included my parents Jennifer & Dougie, and also my brother Gav, who flew down on the Friday morning to see me fight."
A delighted Robertson added that winning the team medals was "brilliant", and thanked his sponsors BeGreen Dunbar, who secured his place at the world championships, while Cruz Property, Hillside Hotel Dunbar & Dunbar T-Shirt Shop all offered sponsorship for training weekends in London.
Meanwhile, Robertson turned his hand to coaching as two of his students competed in the world championships, while a further five were entered in the International Open Championships , which also took place in Brighton.
The county club enjoyed success, with world championsip bronze from Sasha Mikhniak and a trio of international open gold medals, from Kyle Campbell, Arun Miller and Mikhniak, while Campbell won silver and Cameron Bissett took bronze.
Robertson was equally thrilled with their medals, adding: Seeing my students compete and achieve at such a high standard meant as much to me as winning my title.
"I am so proud of all of them. They did themselves, the club and their families proud."
