COUNTY golf ace Catriona Matthew will face opponents from Israel and Japan in the opening rounds of the Olympic Games in Rio.
The 46-year-old North Berwick ace will take on Laetitia Beck of Israel and Japan's Shiho Oyama in the opening rounds.
The trio are the second group to tee off on Wednesday morning, getting their Olympics started at 7.41am.
Host nation Brazil will get the women's golf event under way when Miriam Nagl hits the opening tee shot at 7.30am.
She is playing alongside Ireland's Leona Maguire and Kelly Tan of Malaysia.
The group including county ace Matthew will follow, while her second round will begin at 9.36am on Thursday.
The former Women's British Open winner will hope to make it a golfing double for Team GB, after Justin Rose won gold in the men's event yesterday (Sunday).
