The 17-year-old, from Worthing in West Sussex, has raised the impressive four-figure sum after taking part in the half marathon alongside Gary Lemmon and her dad Simon. Their cause was further aided as Brodie Good, Freddie Emmet, Tom White and Margarita Campbell ran the 10k in aid of the Craig McGeary Foundation.
Lily said: “The half marathon went really well, the weather conditions were perfect and the route was wonderful.
“After the race we were all very tired and quite sore, but we were proud of what we had all achieved in memory of an inspirational teacher.
“We are all so grateful for everyone who donated and to all the people who came out on the day to support.”

Her efforts have been praised by Mr McGeary’s mum, Linda, who wrote on Lily’s JustGiving page: “Craig will be in awe at the response.
“Thank you all for your support and your donations for Lily; he will definitely be sorely missed.”
Lily said the response “shows how truly amazing and loved Mr McGeary was”, with her total currently at almost £2,100.
