A SECOND Premier Stores branch could open its doors in Prestonpans.
Plans are with East Lothian Council for the convenience store to open on the town’s Monks Meadow.
Planning permission is already in place on the site for 16 properties alongside three commercial units.
Last year, Lar Housing Trust, a housing charity that hopes to “transform lives” by providing high-end housing with affordable rent, revealed plans for the site.
At that time, they said there would be three commercial units, one of which would be an office for the charity, with another to become a convenience store.

Now, an application, featuring images with the distinctive purple and yellow branding of Premier, is with the local authority’s planning department.
Images included show how the signs would look, as well as advertising a Costa Express.
A decision on the proposals is expected by the end of next month.
Currently, there is already a Premier store on Prestonpans High Street.
