A COUNTY man struggled violently with police after he had been arrested in Musselburgh.
Liam McNeill, 23, resisted arrest by two constables before attempting to run away from the officers at Windsor Park on October 13 last year.
McNeill also shouted, swore and repeatedly uttered racially offensive remarks during the arrest procedure.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to both offences.
The Crown also accepted not guilty pleas to three further charges, including forcing entry to a property, stealing a television set and police assault.
McNeill, of Duries Park, Elphinstone, was fined a total of £710 to mark the offences.
