RESIDENTS are being urged to remain vigilant after a spike in reports of bogus callers.
Police took to social media to highlight “a number of reports” about bogus callers in the area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We would urge people to remain vigilant when answering the door to people they don’t know.
“If you feel threatened, unsafe or are suspicious of a caller, contact police immediately on 999 in an emergency, or report to us via 101 or the online contact us form.
“Look out for the elderly and vulnerable in your community.
“Rogue traders and bogus callers target the most vulnerable in our society.”
