A beach clean is taking place at Fisherrow Sands on Saturday (March 30).
Organised by the North Berwick-based Scottish Seabird Centre in partnership with the Fisherrow Harbour & Seafront Association (FHSA), the event will run from 11am to 12.30pm.
Efforts to remove litter from Musselburgh’s coastline will focus on Fisherrow Sands – the beach from Fisherrow Harbour to the mouth of the River Esk.
Friendly, quiet dogs are welcome but should be kept on a short lead throughout the clean -up.
The event will start and finish at the harbour, so anyone interested in taking part should meet at the harbour office at the harbour car park.
A beach cleaning kit, including gloves, alcohol hand gel, bin bags and pickers for those who want them, will be provided.
The group leader will carry a large, waterproof backpack to carry additional debris.
A health-and-safety briefing will take place before heading onto the shore.
