PLANNING permission first given nearly 20 years ago for a snack bar at Fisherrow Harbour has been extended.
East Lothian Council granted planning permission to Nisa Jordan for a mobile snack bar in March 2005.
Since then, the local authority has regularly extended the planning permission.
Now, the applicant has been told the business can remain at the harbour until at least March 2029.
The planning officer’s report notes: “The use of this small area of the overall hardstanding for the siting of a mobile snack bar does not significantly change the recreational, leisure and amenity open space value of the land on which it is sited.
“Furthermore, the scale and nature of the proposed snack van is acceptable given the snack van operated on this site for some 19 years without any issues arising.”
