A MAN who was caught with thousands of pounds of Class A drugs at a Prestonpans home has been jailed for two years.
David Paterson, 34, was found to be concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine at an address on the town’s Hawthorn Road.
Paterson, c/o HMP Edinburgh, was also caught with quantities of cannabis and amphetamine during a police raid on the property on May 11 last year.
He pleaded guilty to four drug offences when appearing from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month and was back in the dock for sentencing last Tuesday.
Sheriff Gillian Sharp sentenced Paterson to a two-year custodial sentence, backdated to his remand date of May 19 last year. The sheriff said that Paterson will also be supervised for 12 months following his release from custody.
