A SPECIAL church service took place on Sunday to mark the coming together of church congregations.
Humbie Church and Yester, Bolton and Saltoun Church have been linked since 2015.
At the beginning of the year, they officially merged into one united parish, with one kirk session, as Lammermuir Parish Church.
A spokesperson for the church said: “The two congregations have been linked – i.e. sharing a minister and working together in some areas – since 2015, and now we are one united parish, with one kirk session.”

The spokesperson added: “Services will take place at each of the churches at 10am.”
Usually, on the first Sunday of the month, services will take place in Humbie Church. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, services will take place in Yester Church in Gifford. On the third Sunday, services will be held in either Bolton or Saltoun Church.
