A LOCAL inquiry into proposals to changes the boundaries of the East Lothian and also the Midlothian North & Musselburgh constituencies at the Scottish Parliament takes place this week.
Two sessions will be held at Musselburgh Racecourse on Thursday (December 7).
The sessions, which run from 2pm to 4pm and 6-8pm, will be chaired by Sheriff Principal Ross and provide an opportunity for councils, elected representatives and local people to put their views forward.
Boundaries Scotland consulted on its proposals for constituencies for the Scottish Parliament from May 17 to June 18.
The proposals suggest amending the existing East Lothian constituency boundaries by moving Prestonpans out of the seat and including it in a Midlothian North and Musselburgh constituency along with Musselburgh, Wallyford, Dalkeith, Danderhall and Portobello.
