A Musselburgh motorist has been banned from the road after she refused to provide police officers with breath samples.
Kirsty Todd, 33, was arrested following an alleged incident and was taken to Dalkeith Police Station, where she was asked to give a sample to ascertain whether she had alcohol in her system.
Todd then refused to give the officers two samples of breath when she was required to while at the police station on October 2, 2021.
Todd appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Friday, where she pleaded guilty to the offence and had not guilty pleas accepted to three further charges, including not displaying L plates on her vehicle.
Sheriff Fiona Tait imposed a total fine of £420 and banned Todd, of the town’s Delta Court, from driving for 12 months.
