North Berwick RNLI have been seen testing out some new equipment that would help with the launch and recovery of the team's lifeboat.
A Tooltrak is type of crawling tractor that has high traction, low ground pressure and a powerful engine that is well suited to lifeboat activities.
The team will now test the new equipment over the next few days in a variety of situations and locations to see if it would be a good fit for the local station.
A spokesperson said on Facebook: "We've an exciting RNLI visitor to North Berwick for the next few days as we trial a new vehicle for launch and recovery of the Lifeboat.
"We'll be testing various launch sites and techniques to see if a Tooltrak is suitable for our station."
