Giancarlo’s in Tranent opens its restaurant doors to the public tomorrow (Wednesday) evening for the first time in six months.
The Italian eaterie closed in April after a safety inspection found that its High Street premises was being “affected to some degree by ground movement” as a result of former mineworkings in the area.
In early September, following building repairs, it reopened for hot food deliveries and collections but is now about to welcome back sit-in customers.
In a post on Facebook ahead of the reopening, Giancarlo’s said: “Slow and steady wins the race as they say, so we are doing a soft opening on Wednesday 12th October.
“Tables are available from 5pm that night and you can book online now to avoid disappointment.
“We can't wait to welcome you back.”
