MICKY Yule has won a powerlifting bronze medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.

This comes five years after finishing fifth at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Micky, from Wallyford, won a bronze medal in the men's -72kg powerlifting at the Tokyo Paralympics after lifting 182kg.

The gold medal went to Malaysia's Bonnie Bunyau Gustin who lifted a Paralympics record of 228kg, with Egypt's Mahmoud Attia taking silver with a lift of 191kg.

Forty-two-year-old Yule, who lost both legs when he stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) while on army duty in Afghanistan in 2010, has already vowed this will be his last Paralympics.
